Brytech's RPM obtains Health Canada Device Licence

Brytech's Remote Physiology Monitoring (RPM®) System has been granted a Class 3 medical device licence (licence number 78947) by Health Canada allowing the system to be marketed in Canada.

The intended use of the RPM is to collect, display and archive patient vital signs. Any of the following non-invasive parameters can be monitored as appropriate:

  • ECG
  • Heart rate
  • Oxygen Saturation (SpO2)
  • Systolic blood pressure
  • Diastolic blood pressure
  • Mean blood pressure
  • Temperature (2 channels)
  • Respiration rate

The device is intended to be used to raise audible and visual alarms when any, or combination of any, preset limits are breached. The database and clinical monitoring stations are intended to serve one or many patients, whereas the patient monitor component is dedicated to a single patient.

The device is intended to be used on a patient under the supervision of a qualified healthcare provider. The device is intended for use on adult patients only.
